Hello Event – Customised Presentation of Events<\/h1>\n

The plugin offers different possibilities to build a customised presentation:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. in the settings you can deselect the event information that should not be automatically displayed, and use shortcodes into the event description to insert event information where you want it<\/li>\n
  2. you can create a custom event presentation template using either the Classic WordPress editor, the standard (Guthenberg) editor, or the Elementor editor<\/li>\n
  3. if you\u2019re a developer you can of course create a dedicated template with PHP and HTML<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Use shortcodes in the event description<\/h2>\n

    Example<\/strong><\/span>: put the link to tickets at the end of the event description and use a custom text for the link. To do this, go to the plugin settings, section “Auto inserted content” and deselect “Link from event to ticket”.<\/p>\n

    Next, at the end of the description of the events, insert the following shortcode:<\/p>\n

    [hello-link-to-ticket text=”You may acquire tickets to participate here”]<\/blockquote>\n

    Notice that since you have deselected the automatic presentation of the ticket link, you need to insert this shortcode in the content af all events.<\/p>\n

    2. Create a custom template<\/h2>\n

    For better control you can create a custom event template in the form of a page. This page will be displayed with the usual (chosen) wordpress page template. In the case that you use the WordPress Editor, it will include shortcodes for the event information. If you use the Elementor editor you can install the companion plugin “Hello Event Widgets for Elementor” to use widgets instead of shortcodes . (A companion plugin that provides blocks to replace shortcodes may also be available later.)<\/p>\n

    When editing and testing the result of your custom event template, you need to choose a default event. This is done with help of the shortcode “hello-default-event”, which takes either the id or the slug of an event as parameter, and should be put first on the page, for example:<\/p>\n

    There are two ways to use your custom event template page:<\/p>\n

    1. By adding the custom event template page id or slug to the shortcodes used to list the events<\/li>\n
    2. By modifying the plugin settings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
